History

Chords still ring after 18 years for the Perfect Harmony Women’s Barbershop Chorus.  In 1999, director Karen Frankenfeld was persuaded to use her years of experience and talent to bring the joy of singing barbershop to the ladies of Bella Vista.  The only place available for the first meeting was a beauty shop. By the second meeting there was so much interest that there were too many singers and they had to move to the Bella Vista Lutheran Church choir room.

While a few of the singers are experienced former Sweet Adeline or Harmony, Inc. members, all of the ladies love the camaraderie of the group and the joy of singing together for others.  The group is not affiliated with the national organizations.  They just enjoy singing a cappella barbershop-style music for the local community.

In November, 2009, they celebrated 10 years with a special concert and reception.  They have given free concerts at Blowing Springs Park and Cooper Chapel and continue to stay busy year round.  After several years, the group moved their rehearsals to the United Lutheran Church where they remain today.
